Ferret awarenss weekend

We belong to the local ferret club and do education days for them.

This weekend we spent Sat and Sun doing ferret awareness weekends at
PetSmart and Petco. Sat we were at PetSmart with Joh his ferret
Jaeger, Richie his kids, a neighbor and his ferrets Ghost, Shadow,
Lolly and Skeedie. We brought Ceili, Buddy and Willow. The store set
us up with a table and we put out literature and talked to people. We
worked from 12 to 4.

John's ferret Jaeger is a big boy and goes to sleep in John's arms.
Richies girls were all tiny ferrets from petstores and ours were a mix,
2 private breeder ferret girls and 1 petstore boy.

We talked and played with each others ferrets. We let people pet the
ferrets and talked to them about ferrets as pets. Our job is to
promote the domestic ferret as a pet. We talk honestly about ferrets
as pets and whether or not they would be suitalbe as a pet in some
households.

The day passed pretty quickly.

Sun we went to Petco. It was Mother's Day and we had no helpers this
time. Dan brought the paper. We talked to a few people. Mostly we
read the paper. The store was pretty much dead. There were a few
people, but they were far and few between and the day passed slowly.
We worked 12 to 3 and left earlier than our usual 12 to 4.

If it weren't for the paper the day would've passed very slowly.
